Measurement of initial velocity at the barrel exit
The radar system for measuring the initial velocity of a projectile 112L4 is designed to measure the initial (muzzle) velocity of artillery shells and mortar rounds of various calibers. This data is critical for accurate ballistic calculations during the preparation of artillery fire.

The maximum distance from the operator's control panel to the device is 50 meters (which can be increased up to 100 meters). Data transmission from the radar to the operator's laptop is possible in 2 modes:
- «Point-to-point» mode
- Using a data transmission network within the same subnet
Main tactical and technical characteristics (TTC)
Tactical and technical characteristics
- Frequency range: Ka-band
- Radiation power ≤ 100 mW
- Measurable velocity range: 50–2000 m/s
- RMS (Root Mean Square) error: 1%
- Caliber of bullets / shells: >4 mm
- Power supply: 12 V – 30 V or 220 V
- Radar dimensions (L × W × H): 240 × 170 × 140 mm
The radar for measuring the initial velocity of projectiles can be integrated into the fire control system. The radar is installed on a tripod, and there is also an option to install the radar station directly on the stationary part of the gun.
